In late March, Miami Dade County and Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay announced a plan to bring captive orca, Tokitae, home. Despite being captive for over 50 years, Toki’s mother still swims with her original pod in Puget Sound, and scientists hope to reunite them, even if just through a sea pen.
